Welcome to GuideHub

We help voluntary and community sector organisations demonstrate the value of their services by identifying the key factors in their operation that matter.  Whether we’re raising funds, developing indicators and data management systems or doing instructional design, our activities are focused on helping you to get where you need to be, so that your service users benefit.

Meet our Team

GuideHub is a partnership between Janos Hampel and Sarah Watson. We were colleagues for many years before deciding to continue to work together in GuideHub. Our partnership is founded in trust and friendship and gives us a solid foundation from which to support our clients.
Janos Hampel

Janos has 14 years' experience working on EU funded international projects and for 10 years managed and developed employability related programmes funded by the European Social Fund in the UK.

Janos worked on the SEED project, as part of an international partnership producing e-learning materials for young adults on the competencies required for remote work. He is currently working to produce online learning materials on life skills for young people leaving the care system.

Sarah Watson

Sarah has 17 years’ experience working in and around the voluntary and public sectors including work on direct delivery of training and employability projects and programme management of ESF, local authority and independent charity grants programmes.

Sarah is currently working raising funds for the installation of step free access in a grade I listed church and continuing to support a social enterprise with the management of its data and tracking outcomes.

When we’re not working on projects, you can also find us running Stellar Lighting, where we sell starlight ceilings, stair lighting and fibre optic star kits.

Our projects

Some of our recent projects:

Database design

Built for a social enterprise supporting young people as they leave care.  We helped the team to identify which outcomes are important to record and developed a system of data entry forms and associated reports

Fundraising

Working with a church to raise funds for restoration and step free access. We develop ideas before preparing funding applications and support the charity with community fundraising

Training project

We are a partner on the Erasmus+ project Social Impact: Measuring What’s Important, training youth organisations how to measure the social impact of their work.  Participants are from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, North Macedonia, Poland, Portugal and Ukraine.

Online learning for young people

We are working to develop interactive and engaging online learning materials in independent living skills for young people

Project delivery

We were a delivery partner on the Erasmus+ project SEED from 2015-2017, working with partners across Europe to develop e-learning materials for young adults in the key competencies required for remote work
